Massage Therapists quirky or what?

I was going to one in private practice at 1 Commercial St Truro, NS. We'll call her AW she had her breakdown when she came late to her appointment with me and forgot to turn on background sounds. Paranoid that someone might over hear something and then I guess make up some kind of story. ha ha I'm sure there are pleasure groans when they release some knots and those would be louder than a quiet conversation.
She is constantly freaked because she can hear the receptionist for that floor. The receptionist whom would be speaking out of her cubical across a 20 foot area out into the halls talking to people. Yes probably projecting her voice. Many magnitudes louder than two people quietly talking a mere maybe couple feet from each other.
After the appointment I hung around for a bit gathering information. When it came time for her to change the bedding I suggested that maybe I should get out so she could get prepared for the next appointment. Surprisingly she says oh not to worry she has the clock adjusted so she is in no rush. If the office clock does not have the correct time she is defrauding everyone of time. So our hard earned money is not going as far as you would hope. Not to mention $150 for 1.5 hours then a $50 tip in hopes that the masseuse is a straight up person.
At one point we were talking about something she could do very simply to help with my major concern Very simple and would only take a couple minutes each time. She says I can help you with that. She never did, I would have rather have had a few minutes on my concern than the 1.5 hours of what she was doing.
So my experience of a number of appointments with this excuse for a massage therapist pist me off. If they are not registered at one of currently four Massage Therapists' Associations of Nova Scotia it's really difficult to file a complaint. Instead of helping them by reporting them to an Association you have to file a major rights complaint with the government.
The whole Massage Therapy game seems to be a big game played by supposed professionals.
The following is from another Massage Therapy client at a local spa his rant.
CC: Be very careful when booking regular massages at WDS. I had been a weekly client there for a year and a half'ish with massage therapy. During that time i had some very unprofessional encounters. From having my massage therapist start crying and having a mental breakdown and then missing a month of time, being passed around to different massage therapists, to them literally talking badly about other employees. The gossip and non sense is childish and insane to say the least. I had one massage therapist ask me why i didn't like them? From adding their clients on Facebook to huge mental breakdowns and blocking clients so they can't write their review i caution you if your going there for a prolonged time. If it's once in a while and you don't have the same person your likely fine. But long term it's a disaster in there. Revolving door with front desk receptionist they had 3 or 4 people come and go over a few month period. Unprofessional to say the least. Again this isn't for everyone going there. But long term just be aware of what your getting yourself into if you are doing weekly massage like i was with the same therapist.
Comment by DR: I completely discarded this place when i got in my accident for reasons mentioned by many. It's a catty bunch of snobs for the most part. Not all! But a lot. And that's not just my experience.
